The aim was to reposition this beverage market in a modern and contemporary way and to create a multipliable concept for Kaufland. For this purpose, the existing organization system had to be restructured, which, in combination with an attractive design, was intended to create an attractive and modern market.

The market area is clearly structured by dividing the product range into individual areas, which in turn are emphasized by a color scheme: wine is red, sparkling wine is gray, beer is golden, water is blue and so on. A spacious central aisle provides an overview and leads the customer to the product range.

The wine area, with over 400 m2, takes up most of the new market. Winemakers offer their wines directly at a tasting table. This allows customers to talk to the producers. In a converted barrel furniture, various wine tastings can be tested by self-service. There is also a separate tasting counter that is specially set up for tasting evenings or events. A humidor is integrated into the counter and contains over twenty different fine cigars.

There is an extra for customers in the checkout area - a walk-in drinks cooler. Backlit in blue, this room-within-a-room creates a literal experience of freshness. At the checkout, customers can quickly cool their drinks in a self-service wine cooler. The sum of the surprise effects in this drinks shop is great, but so is the benefit.
