The conversion of the Paderborn store received a tailor-made design: in a sales area of 2200 m2, ceiling offsets, ventilation and, in some cases, high trusses require a design concept that puts the irregularities of the existing building into the background.
Uniform product range signs made of high-gloss black decor now provide clear orientation in the market along the outer walls. These are framed on the sides by vertical light strips and are connected horizontally with a surrounding light strip. Semi-transparent room dividers made of white or wooden, fanned-out slats divide the market area into useful sections. The horizontal lines of slats, light strips and floor-to-ceiling, high-gloss black paneling on the refrigerated cabinets visually stretch the width of walls and room elements.
Colored, transparent acrylic glass panes, framed in matt black metal profiles, provide the necessary splash of color. In the deli counter, vertical orange light strips complement the otherwise black and white design and are complemented by orange mirror surfaces. Opposite her is the wine department. A fully mirrored ceiling sail floats above the wine bottles with a surrounding cove of light. These mirrored ceiling panels can also be found in the fresh food areas and visually expand the room.
