At the beginning of April 2022, the first pilot store of the online retailer ZooRoyal will open as a stationary market for pet supplies in Norderstedt, Hamburg. In order to stand out from the competition and create a new animal market experience, our focus was on clear customer guidance, recognition value and a cozy and modern shopping atmosphere for animals and people that invites you to linger.

The range of the new pet supplies market includes five departments, which, like in the CI of the ZooRoyal online shop, are assigned their own color. This was part of the customer's brief and presented us with the great challenge of bringing five strong colors together harmoniously in a small market area. We have used this task for functional purposes as customer management and orientation in the market.

The customer guidance system designed in department colors takes customers by the hand as soon as they enter the store. The wall design is characterized by warm wooden slats, black high-gloss signs with information about the product range, reflective glass surfaces in the department color and matching animal graphics that enable quick orientation. Floor-to-ceiling, colored metal superstructures for the middle room shelves and transparent room dividers divide the sales area into logical sections and create clear departments. Other special features of the market include an impressive aquarium behind the counter and the large plant wall with LED screens, through which natural scenes fascinate and thematic furniture design invites you to linger.
